DISTRICT OF ELKFORD PUBLIC NOTICE:

NOTICE OF MEETING

for Parcel Tax Review Panel

 

A meeting of the Parcel Tax Review Panel will take place on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 744 Fording Drive, Elkford, B.C., regarding the following bylaw:

  • Water and Sewer Reserve Replenishment Parcel Tax Assessment Roll Bylaw No. 760, 2014

A person who owns a parcel included on the parcel tax assessment roll may request that the roll be amended in relation to the person’s own property. The purpose of the hearing is to receive complaints on one or more of the
following grounds:

  • There is an error or omission respecting a name or address on the parcel tax roll;
  • There is an error or omission respecting the inclusion of a parcel; and/or,
  • An exemption has been improperly allowed, or disallowed.

Requests for the roll amendments must be made in writing to the District of Elkford and received by the District no later than 4:30 p.m. on May 6, 2023.

Pursuant to Section 208 of the Community Charter, the parcel tax assessment roll is available for inspection during regular office hours, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from April 14, 2023 to April 28, 2023. For details, please email finance@elkford.ca or call 250.865.4000.
