DISTRICT OF ELKFORD
2025 SEALCOATING PROJECT: BOIVIN NORTH AREA
UPDATE ON JULY 22: Due to rain delays, sealcoating will now begin Wednesday, July 23. Residents on affected streets who need to use their vehicle to leave are asked to park outside of the sealcoat area and away from intersections. Emergency vehicles will continue to have full access.
Please park off-street between 6:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. If you’re unable to park on your property, please contact Public Works directly at 250.865.4025 or publicworks@elkford.ca, and we will provide you with an alternate location to park your vehicle for the duration of the project.
If you are watering your lawn, ensure sprinklers are positioned so water does not touch the curb or road surface in any way. Sealcoating requires dry asphalt to apply and must remain dry to set properly.
Note that due to the weather-related delays, the contractor plans to fast-track this project and therefore it will take only three to four days to complete.
What to expect:
- Temporary single-lane traffic on selected streets and cul-de-sacs
- Occasional full closures with marked detour routes
- Slower speeds in residential areas—thank you for keeping it safe!
- Garbage collection routes may vary on Thursday. Please ensure your bin is at the curb by 7 a.m.
Not going anywhere? You’re welcome to leave your vehicle in your driveway just please don’t drive over fresh sealcoat. It’ll stick with you. Literally.
We appreciate your cooperation!
