The District of Elkford employs a full-time Bylaw Enforcement Officer to respond to concerns, complaints and offences in Elkford and to help educate the public on bylaw-related matters. Bylaw Enforcement works closely with Elkford’s residents, businesses and visitors to achieve bylaw compliance and keep our community safe and hospitable for everyone.

RCMP Online Non-Emergency Crime Reporting Tool

In an emergency, call 9-1-1.

This service is intended for eligible, non-urgent matters and provides a convenient way to submit reports at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Incidents the Online Crime Reporting tool may be used for:

Hit & Run to an Unoccupied Vehicle or Property
Driving Complaints
Lost or Stolen Licence Plates or Decals
Damage or Mischief Under $5,000 to a Vehicle or Property
Lost Property
Theft Under $5,000 (including Theft from a Vehicle and Theft of a Bicycle)

Help protect wildlife and the environment by reporting suspected violations of fisheries, wildlife, or environmental protection laws. Human-wildlife conflict is a significant concern in British Columbia, and reporting issues helps reduce risks to both people and wildlife.
