Remembrance Day Ceremony
On Saturday, November 11, you are invited to attend Elkford’s Remembrance Day ceremony in honour of those who have fought for our freedom. All are welcome to attend.
Elkford’s 2023 ceremony will take place in Teck Hall, inside the Community Conference Centre (750 Fording Drive) with wreath laying occurring outdoors at the Cenotaph (located between this facility and the District Office). Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony.

- TIME: 10:45 a.m. (ceremony start time)
- LOCATION: Teck Hall (in the Community Conference Centre) at 750 Fording Drive
Those who are unable to attend may pay their respects by observing two minutes of silence at 11 a.m. to honour, thank and remember the fallen. You may also attend the National Remembrance Day Ceremony by tuning in to the Royal Canadian Legion’s live broadcast.

Facilities Closed for Remembrance Day
District of Elkford facilities that are regularly open on Saturdays will be closed on Saturday, November 11 to observe Remembrance Day, a federal statutory holiday. Facilities will reopen on their following normal regular business day of operation.
