Shape Your Community. Vote.
Why Vote in Local Elections?
Voting is one of the most direct ways you can shape the future of your community. Local government decisions influence how public funds are invested and how essential services are delivered every day. These include fire rescue and emergency response, water and sewer systems, snow clearing, bylaw enforcement, and the maintenance of parks, trails, and recreation facilities.
When you cast your vote, you are taking part in the democratic process that guides how your community grows and operates. By choosing the candidates who best represent your priorities and values, you help determine the leadership that will make important decisions for Elkford’s future. Every ballot helps shape the direction, wellbeing, and success of the community. Your vote truly matters!
Why Vote for School Trustees?
School trustees play a vital role in supporting local education. Trustees work to ensure schools meet the needs of students and families by overseeing the construction and maintenance of school facilities, approving budgets, and supporting programs and initiatives that enhance learning. They also help ensure schools have the teachers and staff needed to provide a strong educational environment for local students.
Participating in the election of school trustees helps guide the future of education in the community and ensures that local voices help shape the learning opportunities available to students.
