Elkford Emergency Services Open House & Bike Rodeo

Join the District of Elkford on Saturday, August 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the Elkford Emergency Services Open House & Bike Rodeo, a fun-filled day focused on community safety, learning, and family-friendly activities. Bring your bike and explore a variety of interactive displays and demonstrations designed to help residents of all ages learn more about emergency services and safe cycling practices.

Visitors will have the opportunity to get up close to emergency equipment, including Elkford fire trucks, ladder trucks, wildfire water tanks, and other emergency response vehicles, while meeting local emergency services personnel and learning about the important role they play in keeping our community safe. Young riders can participate in the Bike Rodeo, featuring free bike inspections, safe riding demonstrations, rules of the road activities, and practical cycling safety tips. Attendees can also learn about speed awareness in a fun and engaging way.

A free community BBQ will be available for all attendees, making this a great opportunity to gather with friends, neighbours, and family while enjoying an afternoon of education, entertainment, and community connection. Whether you want to learn more about emergency preparedness, explore emergency vehicles and equipment, improve your cycling skills, or simply enjoy a community event, there is something for everyone.

The Elkford Emergency Services Open House & Bike Rodeo is proudly hosted by the District of Elkford and neighbouring sponsors as part of the ongoing commitment to building a safer, stronger, and more connected community.
