Look forward to our famous fireworks, a parade, beer gardens and outdoor music festivals, a family ball tournament, a pool party, a show n’ shine, grass smash volleyball tournament, a pancake breakfast, fire trucks (and your local firefighters!), petting zoo, an outdoor concession, face painting and balloons, an art show, entertainers, inflatables and games, food trucks—and so much more! FRIDAY, JUNE 26
1. WILD CUBS SUMMER SOCIAL – 0 TO 6 YEARS (10 A.M. TO NOON)
Hosted by: Elkford Early Years Committee. Kick off the weekend with a summer playgroup party – bubbles, music, chalk, games and a snack. Don’t forget your hats, sunscreen and water bottles. Parent/caregiver must accompany children.
2. PUBLIC HEALTH INFORMATION BOOTH (10 A.M. TO NOON)
Hosted by: Interior Health. Sun safety, immunization services and other public health information for families with children.
3. ELKFORD LIONS CLUB 5TH ANNUAL SHOW AND SHINE (10 A.M. TO 4 P.M.)
Hosted by: The 43’s, Sponsored by: Elkford Lions Club. Entry fee: $20. Simply show up between 10 a.m. and noon to register. Prizes offered. Spectators and car enthusiasts free to view. Come and browse the lineup of wheels - both antique and modern vehicles fill the area. The Lions Club will have their food cart on-site, so don’t forget to bring cash for snacks and refreshments. We respectfully ask that spectators don’t bring their furry friends.
4. MOBILE FOOD VENDORS (VARYING TIMES & LOCATIONS ON FRIDAY)
Grab your favourite snack from Noteworthy Coffee, Happy Cow and Elkford Lions Club (Show and Shine location), Mama's Dumplings, The Dutch Sweet Spot, Buff’s Smokin’ BBQ, Delicious Greek Food and Wicked Weenies. Charges apply.
5. PUBLIC HEALTH INFORMATION BOOTH (6 TO 8 P.M.)
Information for public health services in Elkford related to harm reduction and safety.
6. BEACH DAY POOL PARTY (6 TO 8 P.M.)
Hosted by: The District of Elkford. A beach-themed party with games, prizes and a treat. Regular admission rates apply and children six and under must be accompanied in the water by an adult.
7. BEER GARDENS (6 P.M. TO MIDNIGHT)
Hosted by: Elkford Trails Alliance. Charges apply with proceeds going to the Elkford Trails Alliance. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy a beverage while taking in live music. Cash or card accepted.
8. FAMILY SLO-PITCH TOURNAMENT (6:30 P.M. START TIME)
Hosted by: Elkford Minor Ball. Calling all spectators and cheerleaders – take in some baseball and cheer on your favourite local team! Pre-registration was required, and the roster is full!
9. MUSIC AT THE MEETING PLACE – SIDECAR SHENANIGANS (7 TO 11 P.M.)
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and dance like no one’s watching! This free entertainment is offered by the District of Elkford. All ages are welcome to enjoy the music by the stage and on the lawns, but you must be 19+ to enter the Beer Gardens and enjoy the show from there.
10. FIREWORKS (AT DARK—APPROXIMATELY 10:45 P.M.)
A highly anticipated annual show that lights up Elkford’s night sky! Check them out along the river walkway or Riverview Park. This year the fireworks will be launched from the Roberts Ball Diamond. This free event is offered by the District of Elkford.

Pre-registration is required. Spectators and cheerleaders are welcome and encouraged!

Hosted by: Elkford Minor Ball. Calling all spectators and cheerleaders – take in some baseball and cheer on your favourite local team! Games will be played on Blaine Borys Diamond, Haines Sr. Diamond and Roberts Diamond. Pre-registration was required, and the roster is full!
13. KORE OUTDOORS - REHUB MOBILE REPAIR UNIT (9 A.M. TO 4 P.M.)
Hosted by KORE Outdoors: Get your outdoor gear fixed for free! Join KORE Outdoors at the ReHub Mobile Repair unit at Wildcat Days. Rehub is KORE’s circular gear initiative focused on repair, reuse, and redesign. We’re helping the outdoor gear industry shift away from single-use thinking by keeping products in play longer. Types of gear: outdoor clothing and soft goods including jackets, pants, tent flies, ski wear, bike shorts, backpacks. You can pre-book HERE or you can also bring items on the day of the event. Please ensure: gear is clean prior to dropping off for assessment and potential repair, apparel is washed, gear is free from dirt, sand and vegetation and pockets are emptied. Pre-booking does not guarantee your gear will be repaired on site or at a partner repair facility. Our expert technicians will assess your gear and if deemed not repairable, offer advice on possible solutions.
14. SOWING SEEDS (9 A.M. TO 5 P.M.)
Drop in to the Visitor Centre to view a s small-scale exhibition highlighting the history of Elkford. Display has been curated by our summer student, Dustin Stewart. This display is offered by the District of Elkford.
15. DISTRICT OF ELKFORD WILDCAT DAYS PARADE (11 A.M.)
A fan favourite: candy, music, excitement and more! The parade route starts near the District of Elkford Office and will follow the same route as usual. A map is available in the Visitor Centre. Bring a camera for a fun photo opportunity, ask any burning questions you have and check out the fire department fleet. Offered by the District of Elkford Fire Department.
18. STARS (NOON TO 4 P.M.)
Hosted by: STARS. Learn about this very important organization and the lifesaving resources they provide. There will be freebies/giveaways as well as merchandise you can purchase. All proceeds from donations or merch sales go right back to STARS!
19. WILDCAT PUMP JAM (NOON REGISTRATION)
Hosted by: Elkford Biking Club. Register to participate in our 4th annual bike races or watch and cheer on your family and friends. Door prizes will be awarded. Separate category for scooters and skateboards. Helmets are mandatory. Registration at NOON on the day of event with races starting at 1 p.m. on the day of event. $5 per entry.
20. WILDSAFEBC (NOON TO 4 P.M.)
Hosted by: WILDSAFEBC. Discover wild facts, safety advice and conflict reduction strategies for wildlife species in British Columbia. There will be a cool display of animal hides, skulls and artificial poop from some of our local wildlife to help you identify what might be out there!
21. BOUNCY HOUSES & INTERACTIVE GAMES (NOON TO 4 P.M.)
A bouncing good time! Kids can have fun on the Princess Combo, the Pirate Combo, the Mini Slide and the Obstacle course. All ages can enjoy some interactive inflatable games. This activity is monitored, but we respectfully ask that parents don’t leave children unattended. Minimum/maximum height and weight requirements for each will be posted at each activity. Parents will be required to sign a waiver form befor their child to use the bouncy houses. The interactive games include Light Strike Battle, Paul Bunyan Axe Toss, Mini Full Court Press and the Mini PK Shoot Out! This free activity is offered by the District of Elkford.
22. 5TH ANNUAL WILDCAT DAYS ART SHOW (NOON TO 5 P.M.)
Hosted by: Elkford Arts Council. This year’s theme is “Wild at Art”, featuring artistic works from local artists of all ages! This increasingly popular event brings in creations made from anything including clay, paint, LEGO, wood, glass and more, all inspired by our theme. Cast your vote on your favourites from several categories and stick around to try out the studio. View and buy works of art by local and regional artists of all ages. Interested in exhibiting with us? Deadline to submit artwork is June 24th, register HERE or check out our website www.elkfordart.ca to register or for more information. Prizes to be awarded by people’s choice (vote) in several categories in all age groups.

Hosted by: StellerVista Credit Union. Create a custom button and take home a personalized souvenir. Everyone welcome for this free opportunity.
25. FACE PAINTING WITH PT THE CLOWN & FRIENDS (NOON TO 4 P.M.)
Elkford’s favourite face painting clown is back in town, and for a third year, she’s joined by talented artists to turn imaginations into vibrant realities! This free activity is offered by the District of Elkford.
26. JAMES MURRAY-STORYTELLING AND GOLD PANNING (NOON TO 4 P.M.)
Learn to pan for REAL gold while you listen to stories about Elkford’s history and the real Wildcat Charlie. Keep the gold that you pan! You may also see James on Friday evening in costume enjoying some music at the Meeting Place. This free activity is offered by the District of Elkford.
27. ZORB GAMES (NOON TO 4 P.M.)
Hosted by: The Lighthouse Church. This is a free activity for ages 9+. Join in on the fun of playing games while wearing a giant inflatable bumper ball – please note parents will be required to sign waiver forms for their child to participate.
28. CARICATURE ARTIST (NOON TO 5 P.M.)
All ages welcome! Live caricature drawings – have one done with family or friends or just on your own! This free activity is offered by the District of Elkford.
29. WILDCAT CHARLIE PHOTO CONTEST (12:30 TO 2:30 P.M.)
Hosted by: Elkford Youth Ministerial. All ages welcome for this free activity! Dress-up like Wildcat Charlie, take a photo of yourself somewhere in town and submit it online by June 21 to elkfordyouthgroup@gmail.com. Photos will be displayed at the booth, and you can vote for your favourite in each age category – 0-11 years old, 12-17 years old and 18+. One prize will be awarded in each category.
30. SPRINKLER FUN (1 TO 4 P.M.)
Hosted by: E360S. Join us to cool off with sprinklers, water guns and fun activities! Everyone welcome for this free activity.
31. FUN FOAM (1 TO 4 P.M.)
Hosted by: Elk River Crossing Car Wash and Elkford Dental Clinic. Calling kids of all ages – foamy fun and antics await you! Foam is safe and biodegradable. This activity is free of charge.
32. BOOK SALE & LEGO DAY (1 TO 4 P.M.)
Hosted by: Elkford Public Library. This annual fundraiser offers used books for all ages and interests. Cost: by donation. Children’s books are free! After browsing through the books, let your imagination run wild and join us for a fun afternoon of LEGO building! All ages welcome! Please note: supervision is not provided and adults are responsible for supervising their children.
33. LASER TAG (1 TO 4 P.M.)
Hosted by: Hillside Community Church. Come on down to Riverview Park for some fun with your friends and family. Run around and blast your buddy with a Laser Tagger and have some laughs. This activity is free of charge, but cotton candy and popcorn will be available for $1 each!

Hosted by: Regional District of East Kootenay. Check out the fun recycling games: sorting, can tab guessing, ring toss and more! Ask questions, provide feedback and enjoy free prizes for participants!

Step inside and strike a pose to commemorate your time at Elkford’s wildest weekend! This free activity is offered by the District of Elkford.
36. WILDCAT CHARLIE LOOK-A-LIKE CONTEST (2:30 REGISTRATION)
Hosted by: Elkford Youth Ministerial. All ages welcome! Grow out your ‘stache and dress-up in a Wildcat Charlie costume that captures his unmistakable frontier style! Channel his bold, rugged spirit with confident swagger and a touch of playful showmanship on the stage at the Meeting Place. You can pre-register by emailing elkfordyouthgroup@gmail.com or in person the day of the contest at their table by the Meeting Place (gazebo). There will be three age categories: Adult (18+), Youth (12-17) and Children (0-11) with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each. Judging will begin at 3 p.m.

37. BIKE SKILLS COMPETITION (3:30 P.M. REGISTRATION)
Hosted by: Elkford Trails Alliance. Come out and test your balance skills and see how far you can make it on our skills course. Registration begins at 3:30 p.m. with training rides at, 8+ years and older. The competition begins at 6 p.m. Helmets are mandatory.

Join us for Elkford's annual Wildcat Days Parade on Saturday, June 27, 2026. The parade is one of the most popular events during Wildcat Days and each year, we strive to make the parade bigger and better!
The parade marshalling area will be at the Elkford Community Conference Centre. Marshalling will begin at 9:30 a.m. with judging to take place at 10:15 a.m. The parade will commence at 11 a.m.
