WINTER IN THE WILD 2026

This Family Day long weekend, from February 13 to 15, get ready to celebrate Winter in the Wild in Elkford! Put on your parka, pack up the fam and join us for a howling good time! 

We'll be kicking off the long weekend with fireworks at Wapiti Ski Hill on Friday night, including a guided snowshoe to watch them from a great vantage point. The fun will continue into Saturday and Sunday, with an event lineup that includes the Winter in the Wild snow sculpture competition, pancake breakfast, slow-pitch game, youth archery, turkey toss, concession in the arena, free swimming and skating, arts and crafts, cardboard toboggan races, fun family choreo dance, scavenger hunt and an art show and sale. Our 2026 event lineup will also include ski hill bingo, day skiing and snowboarding, night skiing, rail jam, dummy downhill, beer gardens, plus much more!
