Cougar Sighting in Town

The District has been advised of a cougar sighting in town on September 16th, 2026 between Wilderness Heights and the nearby ATV trail.

Residents are asked to use extra caution in the area, keep pets closely supervised, and remain alert while walking, hiking, or recreating nearby.

If you see a cougar, report it immediately to the BC Conservation Officer Service RAPP Line at 1-877-952-7277 or online https://forms.gov.bc.ca/environment/rapp/
