NEW HOURS FOR 2026: DISTRICT OF ELKFORD
MUNICIPAL OFFICE
Starting in 2026, the District of Elkford municipal office will close at 4 p.m., instead of 4:30 p.m.
This change was presented to council through an office hours policy and approved at the December 8, 2025, regular council meeting, which is available to view on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/live/gjk0E6KZ8Yc?si=UtPxPOsMvpKlqKLk.
The decision followed a review of office traffic and staffing requirements after 4 p.m. Frontline staff have tracked visitor numbers during that time frame since May 2025. Outside of tax season, that time frame typically saw one to two visitors per month.
Hours may be adjusted during peak service periods, such as tax season. Any temporary adjustments to hours will be communicated in advance.
