2025 Holiday Hours and Facility Closures
This holiday season, the District of Elkford office is closed from December 25, 2025, to January 1, 2026. Note that voicemail, email and social media messages will not be monitored during this timeframe. The office will reopen on Friday, January 2, and all inquiries will be reviewed at that time.
All District facilities will be closed on December 25 and 26 and January 1, except for the Recreation Centre arena, which will be open for public skating and/or private bookings at select times.
In the event of an after-hours emergency (water, sewer or roads only), Public Works standby personnel can be reached at 250.910.4026. Note that after-hours charges may apply.
If you have an issue related to Highway 43 (including highway snow removal, road conditions and to request removal of a dead animal on the highway), contact Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting LP at 1.800.665.4929.
