2025 Christmas Truck Parade & Tree Light-Up

Elkfordians, the switch is about to flip on the holiday season! 🎄 This is your official invite to be part of a bright and cheerful night in the heart of our community, as this much-loved event makes its return.

Watch the festive vehicle lineup travel from the staging area and throughout town, then gather at Elkford’s Meeting Place, the gazebo between 744 and 750 Fording Drive, where the parade ends.

Enjoy the community Christmas tree light-up with free hot chocolate (courtesy of the District of Elkford), goody bags (courtesy of SMS Equipment Ltd.) and a bonfire. Bring your own roasting sticks and marshmallows. Pets must be leashed, but everyone is welcome!
 

• DATE: Monday, December 1
• TIMES:
  • Truck parade: Starts at 6 p.m. (Staging for parade participants starts at 5:30 p.m.)
  • Tree light-up: Starts at 7 p.m.
• COST: Free
• LOCATIONS:
  • Truck parade: The parade route begins at the staging area on Alpine Way, south of Balmer Drive, goes through town and ends at Elkford’s Meeting Place.
  • Tree light-up: At Elkford’s Meeting Place, the gazebo between 744 and 750 Fording Drive.

To register your vehicle(s) for the truck parade, contact events@elkford.ca or 250.865.4010. The deadline to register is noon on Monday, December 1. Note that other vehicles, not just trucks, can participate in this parade.
