Fire and Emergency Services

The Fire Department is responsible for the protection of life, property and business in Elkford from the effects of fire, hazardous materials incidents and natural or other disasters.

Elkford has a full-time Fire Chief who oversees 27 volunteer fire-fighters from one fire hall equipped with 2 pumper trucks, 1 ladder truck, 1 brush truck, an Emergency Transportation Unit, and a rescue unit equipped with heavy hydraulic rescue tools.
